Tropical Foods - Product LaunchTropical Foods is a Charlotte-based food manufacturer specializing in raw and roasted nuts; dried fruit; and snack mixes. Just in time for the holidays, Tropical launched ReCharge, a line of naturally enhanced snack mixes. The company wanted to create brand awareness and demonstrate consumer demand to retailers.

Solution

Media Emerging conducted a 1-2 publicity punch that featured press releases and a product sampling/review campaign with food bloggers and mom bloggers. We reached out to dozens of bloggers throughout the Southeast, focusing on markets where Tropical’s retail distributors have a strong presence.

Results

Dozens of industry and consumer publications wrote about the ReCharge launch, including snack industry majors like Candy & Snack Today, Just Food, and SpecialtyFood.com. Several prominent food bloggers in Atlanta; Charlotte; Asheville, North Carolina; and Nashville, Tenn. wrote reviews of the new snack line, generated hundreds of favorable comments from readers.
